This is another coming from my childhood, and another crowd pleaser. I’ve made this with venison steak and, not going to lie, it was rather delicious.Pepper steak
What you’ll need:
- 1 pound round steak, cut into strips
- 1 1/2 cups beef broth
- 1 tbsp paprika
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 green peppers, chopped (or red or yellow if you like a little color on your plate)
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
Brown the steak in a pan with a couple tablespoons of butter, then add the garlic, broth and paprika and let simmer for up to 30 minutes, covered.
Add the peppers and onions and cook for about five minutes. Add the rest of the ingredients and simmer, stirring, until thick.
Serve over rice.
