Mmm, pork chops. Definitely one of my favorites. We bought half a pig this winter, so I’m pretty well stocked. You’d think I would try a lot of different recipes with a freezer full of pork, but I keep coming back to this one. Probably because I love maple even more than I love pork chops.
These are really great on the grill, but I do them in the oven or on the stove as well. Just adjust your cooking time as needed, depending on your method. I like the oven cause I can throw them in while I’m getting the rest of the meal ready. There’s really not much to this, but it’s super yummy.
Dijon maple pork chops
What you’ll need:
- 4-6 pork chops
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 1/2 cup dijon mustard
- 1/2 onion, diced
- minced garlic, salt and pepper to taste
- some oil to brush on them to prevent sticking, if you’re doing the grill method
I try to throw everything together and let it marinade for an hour or so before cooking, when I remember ahead of time.
They take about 15 minutes on the grill, or about half an hour in the oven at 400. I flip them a couple times and brush the marinade over. I usually pair it with rice and green beans.
